I have the

EVGA 400 N1, 400W

Power supply, it's dimensions are 5.9 x 3.4 x 5.5 inches

Would it fit in my HP Pavilion

570-p023w Desktop?

@LindaAI, if the PSU will fit into the case, here is a small, but powerful, video card that may fit into the space.  Look at the "Specifications Tab" for all of the specs for the card.  I have recommend it to many of the members on the Forums without any complaints.

@LindaAI, welcome to the forum.

I believe that it will fit.  The best way to know, however, is measure the space where it will be installed.  There are different sizes of PSU's so it is difficult for us to know if it will fit.

@LindaAI,

I would ask why !!!

While that PSU would fit into the case ( I agree with my colleague), the real question is still why !

The motherboard in that unit is a Lubin, and it does not allow cards to extend overtop of the 24pin ATX main power header. In other words, if you try to install a longer graphic card than the PCIE slot rail, it will likely slam into the main power cabling.

I am aware of the length restrictions, trying to figure out if things would fit. Why are you asking why? Because there is no video card that can be put in? Because it's not worth upgrading? the power is 180 as it stands now. There is a slot for video card of minimum length.

@LindaAI,

Sorry if you took offense.  The vast majority of inquiries are with the massive GTX 1070 and 1080 cards, those are nominal 10" cards, and need 500W PSU.   I should have said that.  I thought I could just ask why.

Have to agree with Geekster, the shorter GTX 1050 (75W draw) is the choice, if it fits.
