Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

X2 Duo 10n6ns Energy Star will only charge when turned off! Battery is good (just replaced). Wont let me update bios as showing AC not plugged in. Bought new genuine AC supply - no difference! Disabled ACPI Battery method, charges but cant see to what level until i re enable it and needs a restart then wont charge or show plugged in again! HELP

1. Check for Charging Port or Cable Issues

2. Software or Power Management Issues

  • Check for power management settings: Some devices have settings that limit charging while the device is on, particularly when running intensive tasks.
    • Power-saving modes or battery optimization settings might restrict charging when the device is active.
    • Try disabling power-saving settings to see if it helps when charging while the device is on.
  • Reboot the device: If the device has software glitches or power management issues, rebooting it might clear the problem temporarily.
  • Software update: Check for firmware or software updates for the device, as bugs related to charging may be addressed in newer versions.

3. Battery or Charging Circuit Issue

  • Faulty battery or charging circuit: If the device is only charging when turned off, there might be an issue with the battery or the charging circuit inside the device.
    • In some cases, the device needs to be powered off to bypass certain charging circuits that may be malfunctioning. This could be a hardware failure.
    • If the device is under warranty, it might be a good idea to contact the manufacturer or the place of purchase for support or a replacement.

4. Overheating Issues
