I have upgraded the bios! Now I will try to install windows 11 via bootable mrb usb made by rufus. Plus, I have downloaded the storage driver for the pc from HP. Will let you know if I survived!

EDIT: the installation program still not recognizes the ssd, even installing the proper driver. I tried to put back on the old HDD and then, the pc doesn’t boot and gives 5 beeps and red led…

Is the Xeon working?  I thought that was the problem causing the 5 beeps.

If you cannot boot with the Xeon and that new bios then the  i7-2600 is the best CPU upgrade.

I tried the xeon but still gives 5 beeps, so it's not working. But my principal problem is that the installation program doesn't recognize the ssd and I can't install windows

I have the older 6000 SSF and am using windows 10 and a 500gb Western Digital SSD.

When I configure the SSD I used Rufus and "mbr" as the bios did not support UEFI.

Are you able to  pass diagnostics?

Tap the ESC key after powering on to run diagnostics for memory and hard drive.

if the SSD or HDD is good, then can you get into the BIOS?  If so, select every page and set default for every page of the BIOS.

Put in the USB with 10 or 11 and select USB boot.

Well, it was a problem with the chinese ssd... I put a new one and works just fine. Windows 11 installed. Now, I will try to put a graphic card and later maybe a new cpu (not the xeon)

Thanks!
