Hi,
I have tried to use the chassis fan connectors on the Z2 G8 SFF. Bought 2 small fans with 4 pins and put them on the board. When I start the system, the fans do work for a few seconds. Then they drop still.
I have searched the bios but did not find any way to enable the fans. Should I use some bios setup or motherboard jumper ?
HWMonitor of FanControl do not see the fans I have added.
I hope someone can help me about this.
Thanks

I have asked and no response yet.
I added HWMonitor to my own PC's utilities and I notice that the fans on my Gaming PC, which are running. are not seen by HWMonitor. That leads me to not having so much faith in the HWMonitor utility.

I see the chassis fan and secondary chassis fan connectors on the board. The simulator does not show and enable/disable option.
I will need to know the size and wattage of the small fans you have installed before I ask our SME internal contacts?
When you provide that I will ask the appropriate HP SME ( HP employee subject matter expert).

Hello, thank you for your feedback.
I have indeed used the 2 CHFAN connectors labeled 23 and 32 on your photo.
Here are the specs of the 12v fans from Noctua (model NF-B9 REDUX-1600 PWM)
Size 92x92x25 mm
Mounting hole spacing 82,5x82,5 mm
Connector & pin-configuration 4-pin PWM
Input power (typical) 0,91 W
Input power (max.) 0,96 W
Input current (typical) 0,08 A
Max. input current 0,08 A
Operating voltage 12 V
I hope it helps
Regards

I will ask.
You will have to remain patient, as Friday is not a great day for me to ask for help from an HP SME.
I made the request for SME support in the Inner Circle section today
I will update this reply or add one in your thread when I get a response.
