Hi guys.
I have recovered a Z2 MINI G3 with Intel Xeon E3-1225 v5 @ 3.30GH on which I installed Windows 11 Pro 24H2 and the workstation runs great. Inside there is already an original factory SSD of 240/250 GB (I don't know exactly).
I would like to increase the internal storage with an SSD in NVMe M.2 format which I bought a few weeks ago, before I got the Z2. This is the LINK model.
I would like to install it on the empty SATA HDD/SSD 2.5’ slot and mount it with an adapter to connect to the SATA cable.
I am asking you to help me find a suitable but also not excessively expensive solution to buy on some online store like Amazon.
Thank you for your support.

Hi:
A NVMe SSD will not work in an adapter connected to the SATA connector.
Those 2.5" adapters they sell for NVMe SSD's are for a different type of drive controller (U2).
The service manual indicates that the PC has a M.2 slot that supports NVMe SSDs (chapter 1, page 7).

If the factory SSD you are referring to is a M.2 NVMe SSD, I recommend you replace it with one having a greater storage capacity.
