Product: Z420
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a Z420 with four good DIMMS. I ordered a replacement motherboard and swapped parts and upon bootup the fans thought they were Jet engines and nothing else. Power light was the same blue.

Is there a different board for Z420s?

The capacitors are different colors. Blue on one Red on the other, not sure if that makes a difference.

Where is the mb model number located?

any assistance is getting a board to support ALL eight DIMMS is greatly appreciated.

What memory are you using?  Also, what is the boot block date and cpu model?
