Hi,
I know that the Z420 Workstation will hold 3-4 HDDs, but what is the maximum storage capacity for the combined drives?
For example, I have a 500 GB SSD in the first bay and a 10 TB HDD in the second bay. Would it be possible to put a 6 TB HDD in the third slot (16 TB total)?
Best regards

Welcome to our HP User Forum!
Since you are likely waiting for someone to respond, I would like to provide some feedback which I hope is useful to you.
In a separate but related User forum thread, @Brian1965 provided this response, and I quote:
"Yes, you should be able to configure your Z420 with a 500GB SSD and and 10TB HDD. The larger 10TB drive must be GPT formatted, not the regular MBR format, which is limited to 2TB maximum partition size. You can then use the 10TB as a single partition or multi-partition the drive. I don't know if any HP Zx20 systems have a 10TB drive installed, but there are several users with 4TB and 6TB drives installed."
The following link also suggests -at least to me, that you're fine to at least up 3 x 8TB (24TB total) HDD drives capacity: https://zworkstations.com/products/z420/.
