Z800

HI all, I am doing some upgrades to me Z800 just bought a 1110W power supply and cpu and so on,

my question is I was reading through the parts list and noticed this part no# 5363217-001.

Z800 workstation PCI fan housing assembly - for 1110 watt power supply configuration.

can someone enlighten me to where this go's and is it necessary,

when I google the part number this is what I found, where dose it go as I have looked in the service manual and cant find it anywhere.

it it referring to the front lower fan but the hard drive trays? as my 800w only has one fan in that position.

below photo of front lower fan housing with two fans, part no# 530551-001

Thank you

I too have a Z800 version 2 mb and it was an old work workstation that i received.  I only upgraded the CPU and HDD as it game with the 1110W power supply and i do not have that fan you are referring to.  The fans that i have are for the RAM, CPU (soon to be upgraded to the liquid cool MAYBE with your help lol), HDD trays and the exit fan flow in the back.  if you need some pics let me know.

Also i see that you requested to find out about the liquid cool and you were directed to Direct Macro did you ever order it and receive it?

Yea can you send me some pics would be appreciated, thanks for replying just had a look on Direct Macro found a water cooling kit for the Z800 good price except the shipping is almost as much as the unit itself, really wanted to get the performance air cooled units but very expensive but more reliable I guess. might just have to buy the water cooled unit and suck up the freight cost haha.

would like to know what would run cooler tho the performance air 463991-001 or the water cooled unit  507697-002

I did look up that PCI fan housing 536317-001 on Direct Macro and got a totally different part again,

not sure where this one would go as there is no space in this Workstation unless something comes out
