Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
HP ab516tx is equipped with i5 6200, which supports ddr4. I want to know, does ab516tx motherboard supports ddr4 and if yes, which clock rating DDR4s it supports.

While the ab516tx is a notebook, I could not refrain from this simple inquiry.  Manual pg 2

Memory

Two SODIMM slots - NON customer accessible / upgradeable

DDR3L-1600 Dual Channel Support

Supports up to 16 GB of system RAM in the following configurations:

  1. 16384-MB total system memory (8192×2)
  1. 12288-MB total system memory (8192×1) + (4096×1)
  1. 8192-MB total system memory (8192×1) or (4096×2)
  1. 6144-MB total system memory (4096×1) + (2048×1)
  1. 4096-MB total system memory (4096×1) or (2048×2)
This system is feedback driven thru Solution and Kudo flags. It's the only means of knowing if you have been served. Please click Accept as Solution, if your problem is solved. To say THANK YOU, press the "thumbs up symbol" to render a KUDO. You can render both Solution and KUDO..
