I have a new Desktop Gaming pc coming: Omen HP 45L Gt22-3000t pc. It only has 16gb RAM. I want to add 32gb but want to know if I can add it and not void the warranty. The HP site shows how to do it so I am assuming it would be ok as long as nothing is damaged by doing it. I think I will also need to change something in BIOS. Set the proper amount of RAM installed unless it will do that when restarting. Anyone know the answer to this? Thanks.

And no, adding/swapping RAM will not void your warranty as long as you don't damage anything.

Welcome to our HP Community forum!
Assuming your Omen HP 45L Gt22-3000t is fitted with 2x8GB DDR5 RAM, I would recommend this 2x16GB RAM kit: Kingston Fury Beast DDR5 5600 MHz with p/n: KF556C40BBK2-32, and if so, I would install your RAM like so: (from DIMM #1 to #4): 16, 8, 16, 8.
However, if you got a single 16GB RAM stick, then I would strongly recommend getting 3x16GB RAM sticks of the aforementioned RAM for best RAM performance.

Thank You! This was very helpful. I was a little concerned about the RAM being RGB and if the additional one can also be the RGB type or would it matter. But the main info and warranty info helps a lot. I don't know yet what is installed but the order says 2x8 = 16gb. But my last pc from hp also said something like that but the actual installed ram was different. Will see when it arrives. So it should be ok to just use the two original 8gb ones installed and buy 2 new 16gb to fill the order you said would be best in that situation? I have seen the RAM for this pc in the HP store and on their supported stores outside of HP so I will try to get the ones you suggested. Thank You again for great info. Have great day. Peace.
