Pavilion Slimline s5710f
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have the above system with 3 GB (1 GB and 2 GB in the slots). Can I upgrade to 16GB with 8 in each or how can I add the most computing power. I am always in the 90% memory doing anything now

No, the maximum memory supported by your motherboard is 8 GB: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-pavilion-slimline-s5700-desktop-pc-series/5035352/model/5049...

Find this information in the section titled "Memory/Memory upgrade information".

Here is the memory that is recommended by Crucial Memory: https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/hP---Compaq/pavilion-slimline-s5710f

If you have questions about their memory you can contact their Tech Support.  You may want to consider upgrading your hard drive (HDD) to one of Crucial's SSD's.  You can find the ones they recommend in the link that I provided towards the bottom of the page.  A SSD boot drive is the least expensive performance boost upgrade that you can do.  Here is a HP Knowledge Base article to help you make the transition if you decide to upgrade: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Knowledge-Base/Upgrading-Desktop-or-Laptop-to-a-SSD/ta-p/73048...
