I replaced by primary 1TB drive with an SSD Samsung 1TB using a carrier I purchased from Amazon. Works very well! I noticed that there was a 2nd power cable available and a place for another 3.5 in carrier adapter (to handle another 2.5 inch SSD) However, one input port is used for the main drive and the 2nd for the optical drive. I can not find a third. I can not find a labeled schematic for the linc motherboard. I have 4 external sata drives, so adding another is not essential. I am having a hard time locating technical info for this computer. I had a 3 year hardware warranty, but discovered that HP considered it an "old" machine, the year I bought it. Go figure. But love to know where the 3rd plugin port is or whether I will have to give up the optical drive. I don't want to use one of those ssd drives that looks like a memory stick... the primary Samsung ssd drive is well and good. thx in advance. PB
