I understand your HP Pavilion 14 Laptop PC 14-dv2000 is displaying a “Non-HP battery detected” message, which means the system has identified a battery that may not meet HP’s safety and compatibility standards.
Steps to Resolve or Bypass the Warning:
- Update BIOS
- An outdated BIOS may misidentify a genuine battery.
- Visit the HP Pavilion 14 Laptop PC 14-dv2000 Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Support and check for the latest BIOS update.
- Run HP Battery Check
- Use the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics tool to test battery health: 👉 HP Battery Check: Fix laptop battery not charging | HP® Support

- Reset BIOS to Defaults
- Restart your laptop and press F10 repeatedly to enter BIOS.
- Select Restore Defaults, then Save and Exit.
