Thanks for your help!

@Novell1,

The HP EliteDesk 800 G6 Workstation Edition is one of the more likely "EliteDesk" candidates for bifurcation support, it may not be the only HP model with this feature. However, bifurcation support is generally more common in workstations and high-end systems, so the range of HP models with this feature is limited.

HP Models That May Support Bifurcation Mode:

  1. HP Z Series Workstations:

    • HP Z8 G4, Z6 G4, Z4 G4: These are high-end workstations designed for heavy computational tasks. They typically offer extensive PCIe configuration options, including bifurcation support.
  2. HP Omen Desktops:

    • HP Omen 30L/45L: While primarily gaming desktops, some configurations support advanced PCIe options that might include bifurcation, particularly on higher-end models with Intel Z490/Z590 or AMD X570 chipsets.
  3. HP EliteDesk 800 G6 Workstation Edition:

    • This model, targeted at professionals, may also support bifurcation depending on the specific motherboard and BIOS version.
  4. HP ZBook Fury 17 G8 Mobile Workstation:

    • Some mobile workstations also support advanced PCIe configurations, though bifurcation on laptops is rarer.

Things to Consider:

  • Check the BIOS/UEFI Settings: Even if the motherboard hardware supports bifurcation, it often requires enabling the feature in the BIOS/UEFI settings.
  • Consult the Manual/Specifications: Refer to the official manual or HP's support documentation for the specific model you are interested in to confirm bifurcation support.
  • Chipset Support: Intel's X299, Z390, and Z490 chipsets and AMD's X399 and TRX40 chipsets are more likely to support bifurcation.

Bottomline is that Bifurcation support is usually tied to higher-end or specialized systems, so it may be more limited outside of these workstation and performance-focused models.

Kind Regards,
