Hi @idkwdym
Welcome to the HP Forum.
I don't know what a BIOS lvl tool is, please enlighten me.
The easiest way to fix the BIOS is to create a HP USB BIOS recovery drive.
I have looked at every extracted file I could isolate within a typical HP BIOS update using 7Zip and could not find a specific .bin file. I know it's in there somewhere, I can't find it.
I have used an AMI firmware update utility to flash a HP PC's BIOS outside of the operating system with the initial extraction of a HP BIOS download file. You extract the spnnnnnn.exe to an .exe file. The AMI firmware update utility can read the extracted .exe file.
Maybe a different Forum member can assist.

most bios have been in an iso ro bin some are using other file extensions, since as far back as i have flashed bios. It was a simple file to download and then flash to any floppy or usb drive that can be used for bios flashing. i can still do this with other laptop manufacturers in zip files. without a need to download some exe to install the file. what is the main file ? and can i just convert it to iso file ? i haven't been able to extract it from the exe with DOS on Android. i know i can use otg to make a file system boot loader. I've done so before with win10 boot drive. i can do with bios also. if i can get the direct file.

Hi
My reply was not intended to be to be demeaning or argumentative.
You never explained why you could not take an easy path to potentially solve the problem.
Sorry to see you are off the beaten path.
I don't see any way to fix this unless you can isolate the .bin file, I was trying to help, I cannot find the .bin file.
