hp-envy-8 desktop
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

looking to see if there is a bios update for hp-envy desktop... Gigabyte motherboard,  2AC8, possibly M3970AM-HP.  current BIOS version is AMI v8.10, dated 12/3/2012.  exact model number of desktop is H8-1534.

check the HP site for your specific model of the envy-8,..... any bios updates will be posted there

To find the exact support page the that PC requires the complete model number.  For example HP Pavilion HPE h8-1234

That particular model has the M3970AM-HP (Angelica2)

That particular model started selling 25-May-2012.  One thing you need to keep in mind is OEM PC's are meant to work as sold.  If  there is a problem with the setup or the hardware wrongly performing for some reason, a BIOS update would be issued.  If everything worked properly as sold and no problems popup then no updates are issued.  This is unlike retail makers that issue BIOS updates for newer hardware or CPU's that came out after the manufacturing date.

 

In other words, do not be upset with no BIOS updates, as it is preforming as designed.

 

P.S. I see you posted the model number as I was researching and  posting.  Same motherboard as I listed and no BIOS updates.
