Hi @letsthrowq
Awesome job on researching the topic and it my privilege to work with tech-savvy and technically competent customers like you. Kudos to you on that score.
You have posted the link for the supported CPU's which are recommended by HP. You can upgrade to any of those CPUs as they are supported.
HP doesn't recommend upgrading to any other CPU as they are not tested by HP and you can do so at your own discretion.
Hope that answers your question.
Good day! Take care 🙂
Cheers!

Hi @letsthrowq
Welcome to the HP Forums!
This is a wonderful place to converse with the community, get assistance and find tips.
I reviewed your post and understand that you would like to know whether there will be any bios update to support Ryzen CPU.
I’d love to help!
I would like to inform you that the bios update will not help. The motherboard needs to support the CPU and bios has nothing to do with it.
Hope that answers your question and you have a great day!

Yea okay but look at this site: http://www.techspot.com/news/66376-amd-am4-socket-revealed.html
There is written : Motherboards featuring AMD's new AM4 socket have been spotted in the wild, giving us a first look at the socket that supports both seventh-generation Bristol Ridge APUs, and AMD's long-awaited Zen CPUs.
and
Announced way back at CES 2016, AM4 is AMD's new socket that supports both seventh-generation 'Bristol Ridge' APUs along with upcoming 'Summit Ridge' Zen CPUs. Previously, sockets for APUs (FM2+) and CPUs (AM3+) were different and incompatible with each other, however AM4 allows users to purchase a single motherboard today for a 7th-gen APU and then upgrade it to a Zen CPU when they become available.
So that means that the motherboard is compatible with the ryzen and then just look at this post where i was asking
and look at what answer i got :
Then why isnt on this site just written some ryzen but only the apus https://support.hp.com/lv-en/document/c05254568 - just open Processor upgrade information
