Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

i've just upgraded my ram (2x4gb crucial) and installed a crucial mx500 250gb ssd and am now using windows 10 rather than the windows 7 pre-installed at time of purchase 2011. userbenchmark says my ram is running below its potential and recommends i should check if a dual channel xmp bios profile is enabled; if not, then i should enable it.

pressing f10 at start up only tells me the bios firmware version number. any ideas how to maximise the performance of my ram?

thank you

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

HP does not recommend to use Third-party measuring apps as they are not tested by HP and may not be accurate.

In terms of memory usage, Windows 10 uses less RAM than previous versions, but adding more RAM memory has been a tried-and-true way to speed up devices for years.

You can also take your computer into a professional shop to have more RAM installed. If you’re worried about potentially compromising your system or doing this incorrectly, then having an opinion from someone who knows what he or she is doing can ease your mind and make adding extra memory easy.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
