@gkman1 , welcome to the forum.

I checked HP Partsurfer to see if HP listed Blu-ray writers for your computer and they have none listed.  Personally, I went with an external USB writer several years ago.  Here is an example:  https://www.amazon.com/Verbatim-External-Slimline-Blu-ray-70102/dp/B0785GPTX3/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid...

This may not be an option for you, but it works great for me because I can use it with my desktop and laptop computers.  Also, it saves a lot of work.  You don't have to open the case to install an internal model.

@gkman1, I guess I can add mind-reader to all of my other extraordinary traits. :TongueOut:  I believe that you will be pleased with the outcome.  I use mine mainly to install games on my desktop and laptop.  I don't do much burning these days.  External hard drives are easier to use.

I received the Verbatim blu ray drive and some issues at first, but all is well now....I inserterd the USB plugs into the back of my HP tower and it would freeze the computer.....I then plugged the USB plugs into the front of the tower and it is working great now....I didn't think there was any difference between the front and back USB inputs??????
