Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am looking to transfer my pc to a newer case but when taking it all apart and having a look I noticed that there were these two cables that led from the motherboard chip to a part of the case and were then soldered on. Anyone know why that might be and if so if they are important to keep or can I just snip them?End hereEnd hereStart hereStart here

@DustbinIbis,

Welcome to our HP Users Forum!

Those appear to be the two WLAN Wifi antenna cable connections. If you snip these cables, and you intend to use your WLAN card (see your second picture) you'll have to replace them in your new case such as this example: Amazon.com: Universal Laptop Mini PCI-E Wireless WiFi Internal Antenna ipx ipex u.fl Antenna WLAN WW....

Your second picture shows the two tiny antenna connectors which are removable when you gently pull them straight out.

Hope this was helpful.

Kind Regards,
