HP ENVY Desktop PC TE02-0000i (3Y3Q8AV)

I am interested in the Noctua  NH-D15 (140MM fans): https://www.amazon.com/Noctua-NH-D15-heatpipe-NF-A15-140mm/dp/B00L7UZMAK/?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_w=v1O...

It's pretty big.  Will it fit in my case?  Thanks!

Hi @zoldos

The CPU cooler dimensions are:

Item Dimensions LxWxH6.5 x 5.91 x 5.31 inches

You would have to verify this part fits in the case and works with the MB layout around the CPU socket.

Regards

Hello sir

dimension is one thing, but what about the mounting panel. does TE02-0000i has place to hold the mounting panel on the back side.. can you even open the back side, mean the other side beneath CPU, to mount this panel..

example, Dell XPS series can not hold this mounting panel, so asking if Envy T02 series do

Hi @kumaresh11

A dual: 140 mm fan and heatsink CPU cooler will probably not fit in the TE02 chassis or work with the MB layout.

Removing the MB from the chassis and removing the HP CPU backplate may be required to install the Noctua: CPU cooler and CPU socket backplate.

This Noctua CPU cooler should work with your case and MB.

Thank you so much Bill

for quick reply, I really appreciate that

I do like that Noctua cooler that you provided link here

i do have another question. does T02-0250 and T02-0300 do they have 4 memory slots ? does it take max 128 memory. 4x32gb DDR5 ?

HP site somewhere it shows max 64gb and 2 slots but some say 4 slots x 128gb.. pl confirm

also pl provide a link to confirm whatever you say final

sorry, I want to make sure did you mean, to install this,

Noctua NH-L9x65, (single fan)

do I need to remove MB and replace?

I am afraid of removing MB as never done that

Hi @kumaresh11

You really should start a new thread expressing your CPU cooler upgrade questions and other component concerns.

Maybe this YouTube video will give you some ideas on how to get a Noctua CPU cooler installation done. The YouTuber used optional 16 mm screws to secure the heatsink to the MB and did not change the CPU socket backplate.

The TG01 case is probably identical to the TE02 case.

Remove the side panel to confirm memory slots. Two memory slots are usually expected in this HP Pavilion series.
