If you want to make a case to upgrade @Kristen7's system board, please knock yourself out. If you do, please make sure to point out the additional parts & bits necessary to make this work (upgraded processor/graphics heatsink, etc.), and the efforts that inevitably go into digging into an AIO. And did I mention the $amount involved? -Good luck.
Kind Regards,

When you look at the product name
HP Pavilion All-in-One 24-r1xx
it's a mistake, I don't know why it hasn't been changed since time, it's not the exact name!
I used this number
"model number: 3LA39AA#ABL"
which will indicate that you have this model
HP Pavilion 24-r149 All-in-One Desktop PC Product Specifications
you have one of the motherboards i showed
OrionR5UF motherboard specifications.
this model does not actually have a graphics module
but if you look at the same series, there are models with graphics card
link that I had indicated in my answer
HP Pavilion 24-r100 All-in-One Desktop series
HP Pavilion 24-r199nb All-in-One Desktop PC Product Specifications
Vulcan-2GF motherboard specifications
I was just saying, you don't have the right motherboard.
but it seems hardly probable to be able to make the exchange
if we look at the shapes, they seem similar, but if it could be put in place, I can't guarantee it
and I had said
"but the cost, replacement motherboard with graphics card, will be worth it, not obvious!"
That indeed, replacing everything risks being complicated, too expensive!
But that was still an option!
we can also see several possible models
and on the intel side with and without graphics support
I hadn't mentioned all that, because not too useful, since you don't have the right model, as I said
- Motherboard Specifications, OrionR3-UF
- Motherboard Specifications, OrionR32300UUF
- Motherboard Specifications, OrionR5-UF
- Motherboard Specifications, Vulcan-2GF
- Dgpu
- Motherboard Specifications, Vulcan-4GF
- Dgpu
- Motherboard Specifications, Vulcan-UF
- not see
""I am not sure how HP Part Surfer would help..""
hp partsurfer, will not always help in this case, because sometimes not all the components will be indicated if you do not have the right model
If you want a scalable computer, you will have to avoid all-in-ones
the options for upgrades, are rarely, immense, not to mention the complexity
