I suppose it would be possible to retrofit your HP Pavilion TP01-3003w with an ODD drive, but I wouldn't do it.

One of my most recent upgrade projects happened to be your model: Solved: Upgrading an HP Pavilion TP01-3003W (318K3AA) - HP Support Community - 9254350, so I know the ins and outs of this PC quite well.

If you do need an ODD drive, I would recommend using an external USB pluggable unit, such as this Amazon purchase option: Amazon.com: HP External Portable Slim Design CD/DVD RW Write/Read Drive, USB, Black (F2B56AA) : Elec....

There are, of course, less expensive external ODD drives available, shop around. Btw, if you are not happy with the length of the USB cord that comes with whatever external ODD drive you get, buy a longer cord.

I never said or claimed that your PC wasn't ODD upgradable, only that I advised against it.

Yes, the (white) ODD dummy front bezel can be easily removed.

But then things become a bit complicated.

You'll need to find the following parts:

1.) p/n: 799541-001 "Latch Assembly - P Slim ODD" -are available via eBay.

2.) p/n: L89731-001 "ODD DVD+/-RW SM DL 9.5mm Slim Tray" -none that I could find online, except a couple with (brushed) silver ODD bezels, such as this one via eBay:  https://www.ebay.com/itm/126090936495?_trkparms=amclksrc%3DITM%26aid%3D1110006%26algo%3DHOMESPLICE.S....  This particular ODD comes with data and power cords, but I am not sure if these cords are compatible with your Reno motherboard.

3.) HP TP01-3xxx ODD White Front Bezel -none that I could find online.

4.) Power and data cables.

Bottomline is this: even if you were able to find/purchase these parts, it would easily exceed the cost of a USB pluggable ODD drive.
