Product: HP Z440 Base Model Workstation

i currently use a tpm 1.2 in my pc and im looking to upgrade to tpm 2.0 for windows 11. ive heard from sources that i cant upgrade due to the lack of a tpm slot. but i am unsure whether it really lacks a tpm slot. This is my device model hp workstation z440 F5W13AV

You can do a firmware upgrade.

okay thanks ill try. But can i inquire how does the tpm change from 1.2 to 2.0 just with a bios downgrade i am curious on this matter

I suggest you reply to NonSequitur777's post as he fully knows how to do this.

 

It is more than just a BIOS downgrade you have to perform.

 

You have to run an additional file.
