According to http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05158546 (Servicing Guide), I should be able to remove the back cover to install a RAM upgrade and a hard disk upgrade. The early steps went well, but when I got to Step 5, removing the screws that attach the rear cover, I got stuck. The Philips-head screws appear to be captive. When I turn them, they made clicking noises and won't come out. I want to speed this computer up for my sweetheart for Christmas, so any suggestions are welcome.
