If your current motherboard lacks TPM 2.0, and you need it for Windows 11 compatibility, try this step.
1. Check for TPM 2.0 Availability in BIOS
Before replacing the motherboard, confirm that your current board truly lacks TPM 2.0:
- Restart your PC and enter BIOS/UEFI (Press F10, F2, Del, or Esc at startup).
- Look for TPM, PTT (Intel), or fTPM (AMD) in Security Settings.
- If TPM 2.0 is disabled, enable it and restart.
Some HP motherboards have TPM 1.2 but can be upgraded via BIOS update.
