Hi @masisi054
Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.
Thank you for reaching out. We understand your concern that the computer is not powering on and only a green light is visible on the motherboard. We appreciate you providing the operating system information.
To better understand the issue and guide you accurately, could you please share the following details?
- The exact HP computer model or product number
- Is this an HP desktop or laptop?
- When you press the power button, do you see any lights on the power button or hear any fan noise?
- Do you notice any blinking LED patterns or beep codes?
- Did the issue start after a power outage, hardware change, update, or any other event?
- Is anything displayed on the monitor, or does the screen remain completely blank?
- If it is a desktop, does the green motherboard light stay solid or blink?
The green motherboard light generally indicates that the system is receiving some power, but additional details will help us determine whether the issue is related to power delivery, hardware initialization, or another component.
We're looking forward to helping you get back up and running!
Regards,
Hawks_Eye
