As you can see in the picture, the SATA ports that my z420 motherboard has are shown. There are whites, grays and blacks.
As I understand the targets are SATA / SAS
How can I connect the maximum number of disks without using RAID?
Now I have 6 disks connected (ports 1,3,4,5,6,7) but I have difficulties connecting more disks.

@MrNico -- I have difficulties connecting more disks.
Please explain what difficulties you are having.
Does your computer-case have room for more disk-drives?
Is this your computer: HP Z420 Workstation | ZWorkstations.com
It has two 3.5-inch drive-bays, and two 5.25 drive-bays.
Note that you can purchase a metal bracket to hold two SSD devices, in a "sandwich" arrangement, per drive-bay.
What is the wattage of your power-supply? Is it enough to support many "spinning" disk-drives? It should have enough wattage to support many SSD devices.
Having many "spinning" disk-drives can generate a lot of heat. How many chassis-fans are you using?
Do you have insufficient power-leads from your power-supply? If so, purchase a 1-to-2 cable-splitter
