Hello, I have a hp compaq elite 8300 small computer and I would like to add an RTX 3050 low profile graphics card to it but I don't know if it will fit in this computer and if 250 watts in the power supply will be enough. Could someone answer these questions and tell me if it is worth making such an investment.

Here is a low profile RTX 3050 I found - GIGABYTE GV-N3050OC-6GL

https://www.newegg.com/gigabyte-gv-n3050oc-6gl-nvidia-geforce-rtx-3050-6gb-gddr6/p/N82E16814932690

According to that info it requires a 300W power supply and it is 181mm and  long requiring 2 slots.

I'll tag @NonSequitur777 as he has more info on doing what you want

Thank you, @TheOldMan, let's take a look.

@User09292024111, yes, a low-profile/low-power RTX 3050 (70-watt TDP) will fit in your case and can be powered by your 240-watt power supply, but you'll either have to 'snip off' a little bit from the black CPU heat sink shroud (see red "X") or remove the heat shroud altogether:

Make sure that you use a low-profile bracket on your RTX 3050 before you install it in your Small Form Factor desktop:

Hope this was helpful.

Kind Regards,
