I have recently purchased AGFA photo realishot   DC9200 camera when i connect to my Hewlet Packard desktop nothing happens  the are no indicators that it is even on the PC  I have also tried a SDS photo card reader and nothing happens hewlet Packard  carries out a check on the desktop were they have control and advised me there was nothing wrong with it .

Microsoft done the same thing and  they also advised me that everything was ok  I have tried my mobile phone and it shows as working and even an app is installed for it  I have even tried the windows 11 book on which I am running and the camera is not installing.

The microsoft engineer informed me that I might need to buy a dongle  but I do not think this will resolve the issue

Hi @charlestraynor

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

It sounds like your AGFA Realishot DC9200 camera isn’t being detected by your HP desktop, even though other devices work fine.

Since both our HP support and Microsoft support confirmed your PC is functioning correctly, the issue likely lies with camera compatibility, drivers, or USB recognition. Here’s how to troubleshoot:

Check USB Connection & Ports

  • Try a different USB port on your desktop.
  • Use a different USB cable if possible.
  • Connect the camera to another PC to see if it’s detected.

Manually Install Camera Drivers

  • Open Device Manager (Win + X → **Device Manager`).
  • Expand Imaging Devices or Universal Serial Bus controllers.
  • If the camera appears, right-click it and select Update driverSearch automatically.

Enable Camera Access in Windows Settings

  • Go to SettingsPrivacy & SecurityCamera.
  • Ensure Allow apps to access your camera is enabled.

Run Windows Camera Troubleshooter

  • Go to SettingsSystemTroubleshootOther Troubleshooters.
  • Select Camera and run the troubleshooter.

Check AGFA Support for Drivers

  • Some cameras require specific drivers to function properly.
  • Visit AGFA’s official website or check their support forums for driver downloads.

Since your mobile phone connects fine, but the camera doesn’t, it’s likely a driver or USB recognition issue rather than a hardware fault. Try these steps and let me know if you need further assistance! 🚀
