The operation can be complicated, and therefore go badly.
The replacement itself, if all goes well, should not be a problem for the warranty
on condition of reinstalling everything if necessary to send back the computer for repair
If there is deterioration and hp believes it to be user misuse, then yes, the warranty may not apply!
