Product: Compaq 8000 elite slim line
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

 

Was burning dvds for awhile and then it just quit burning. I can burn cds without any problems. I ran a disk cleaner in it hoping it would fix the problem. I just quit all of a sudden.

HP Recommended

DVD burners use a different laser to write DVD's than CD's.  It could be the drive has failed, in which case it needs to be replaced.

 

DVD drives are cheap and easy to replace in a desktop.
