dvd says upgrade to play dvd

I tried to play a DVD just now and it says I have to upgrade in order to see it. Why?

NO PC told

no drive DVD options told. (vast types) drive model matter, but DVD all read DVD every one made.(writing is other matter)

No DVD content told is this a store bought DVD with top grade movie there, is it titled DRM MOVIE?

like Die Hard 1? (titles matter) as do file types., mp4 or vast others,.

if yes, load VLC free from France it runs any movie made, (drive supported DVD if BR does BR too)

100% free and safe not fake free as is so common today.

w10 is missing the DVD codec you need, for their media player.
