I have windows 11 install on Pavilion 23-h009 all in one touch smart computer. The mouse seems to be frozen every second for half a second. Very frustrating. All the drivers are up to date. Anyone knows how to fix it? Thanks

Hi @Daxia,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you're experiencing mouse freezing issues after installing Windows 11 on your Pavilion 23-h009 All-in-One TouchSmart computer, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the problem. Here are some suggestions.
-
Check for Windows Updates: Make sure that your Windows 11 installation is up to date. Microsoft regularly releases updates that include bug fixes and performance improvements.
-
Update Graphics Drivers: Ensure that your graphics drivers are up to date. Visit the official website of your graphics card manufacturer (e.g., NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel) to download and install the latest drivers for your specific model.
-
Update Mouse Drivers: Verify that your mouse drivers are also up to date. You can typically find the latest drivers on the manufacturer's website. If you're using a USB mouse, try using a different USB port.
-
Check for Background Processes: Open the Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) and check for any background processes or applications that may be consuming excessive system resources. Close unnecessary applications to free up system resources.
-
Disable Startup Programs: Some programs may start automatically with Windows and could contribute to performance issues. Open the Task Manager, go to the "Startup" tab, and disable unnecessary startup programs.
-
Adjust Power Settings: Go to "Settings" > "System" > "Power & sleep" and make sure your power settings are appropriately configured. Try changing the power plan to see if it has any impact on the issue.
-
Check for Malware: Run a full system scan with your installed antivirus software to check for any malware or viruses that may be affecting system performance.
-
Adjust Mouse Settings: Go to "Settings" > "Devices" > "Mouse" and adjust the mouse settings. You can experiment with different settings to see if it has any impact on the freezing issue.
-
BIOS/UEFI Update: Check the HP website for any BIOS/UEFI updates for your Pavilion 23-h009. Sometimes, updating the system firmware can resolve compatibility issues.
-
Restore to Previous Windows Version: If the issue persists and you recently upgraded to Windows 11, you might consider reverting to the previous Windows version to see if the problem goes away.
Always make sure to back up important data before making significant changes to your system.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
