Flashing a BIOS under Linux - where is .bin file?

for hp 6300 compac desktop computer

You can't flash the BIOS in Linux.

 

See the link below for how to update the BIOS without even having an OS installed.

 

Solved: Updating BIOS Pro 6300 SFF - HP Support Community - 7644632

 

You will either need to use a free file unzipping utility such as 7-Zip or a Windows PC to extract the DOS flash folder from the BIOS exe files.
