Hello all , I have been looking into adding a graphics card to my desktop to improve video editing performance. I also would like to be able to output UHD at 30hz since my tv/monitor is uhd.
Any suggestions on a card, form factor, and what my max power capability is? I am hoping not to have to upgrade my psu, but i will if i must!
Thanks in advance!

The GTX 1050 (75W ) card would work with your units 300W PSU. But you need to verify the card does not require a PCIE power plug, like some EVGA cards. Note: I did not say the GTX 1050Ti card. It requires added power.
UHD at 30hz quality explained. It has a video.

Thank you so much for that. I need a small bit of clarification, so would a similar graphics card, in the same power requirement and without the need for a power plug work. I've been looking at amd cards as well.
Thanks in advance!

Your logic is correct. An AMD card with 75W or less power requirements and no PCIE power plug !
Compare the specs on any card, that is, RAM, bit (64/128/ etc) and DDR3 or 4.
