hello I was wondering if I could put an ASUS PH-GTX1050-2G in my HP Compaq 8200 Elite or do I have to put a low profile nvidia gtx 1050?

From your comment about "low profile" can I assume you have an 8200 SFF ? That has a limitation of 25W on the PCIe x 16 slot. See page 2-3 http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c02778024
