My PC has a GTX 1660 6gb card & my PC a PCI-e 3.0 x 16 slot with a 400 PSU
I use it mainly for photo editing & the software recommends 8gb graphics card.
anyone any suggests for a suitable compatible upgrade?

It looks like the RTX-3050 might work
Tech Power up shows the 1660 can take up to 120 watts and requires 300 watt supply

The specs for the RTX-3050 show 130 watts and requires 300 watt supply also

Please examine your 1660 and verify it take the 8 pin power socket. Some HP systems have custom 1660 and might not have the 8 pin PCIe power connector. You will need 8 pin for the 3050
according to this document, your te-1 has 8 pin power
