I think my graphics card is failing, what type of graphics card would you recommend.

Hi:

 

What model card do you have in it now?

 

You can get a newer equivalent model that works with the power supply your PC has.

 

Here is the link to the product specs page where you can find the supported graphics cards that HP offered in your model.

 

You can even get one of those in used but tested and working condition on eBay.

nvidia GT640

You may want to find a used but tested GT 640 on EBay, or upgrade it to the GTX645.

 

The Nvidia GT 1030 is not as powerful at the GT 640 and the GTX 1050 costs a ton of money from what I can tell.
