@dewser , welcome to the forum.

What is the full model or product number of the computer? I need this information to review the specifications of it. Please don't furnish the Serial # or other personal information. Here is a guide to help you find it: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/bph07555

@dewser, I came up with the model as Media Center 873n.  If this is correct, the specifications show that it came with Win XP installed.  Is this correct?

Thank you for the additional information, @dewser!

I did further research, but can't come up with enough information on your computer to feel comfortable making recommendations for a video card.  I suggest that you choose a video card manufacturer and contact their Tech Support for help with choosing the best card for your system.  I don't believe that it will be very powerful, however.
