I have an h8-1360t . I just made sure the bios was updated to Version/Date AMI 8.21, 10/20/2014. I just installed a Samsung EVO 860 SSD with the intention of moving the OS onto it, but the system is not recognizing the SSD at all in the bios (it lists SATA 1, 2 [DVD/BR recorder], 3 but not 4. The cable/ps connector was previously connected to a fully functioning HD that was removed to make a place for the SSD, so that is unlikely to be the issue.
So, does this model not work with SSDs? This seems contraindicated by another forum message where someone has one installed and has a different issue.

You may need a firmware upgrade
https://semiconductor.samsung.com/consumer-storage/support/tools/
Try the SSD in sata1 (first port)
try changing the SATA configuration:
If in IDE mode try AHCI
Switch to IDE if in AHCI
Some older boards use "RAID" instead of "AHCI" in bios.

Suggest you install win10x64 once it is recognized in bios. Use the win7 serial to activate.
