Hello I am an old lady and I have a HP all in one pavilion touch screen 27 inch. My question is why do I have to replace the hard drive every 18 months??

you have to understand that this is not the first time then?
The hard drive is completely broken, what prompts you to replace it again?
A hard drive is quite fragile, you can actually be unlucky and have to replace it because it breaks down.
But since it is possible to change the model, and even without, the second hard drive should be able to function longer
I had several computers, no luck, a hard drive did not work from the first start, but once replaced, no more worries, it has been working since 2013 at least ..
I have a hard drive from another hp computer from 2009, the computer slammed, but the hard drive still works ..
