HP TouchSmart 230 PC
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

hi! so i restored my pc, and reinstalled everything, and every driver, but only 2 of the drivers out of 25 of the drivers aren't  installing?

the first screenshot is the driver-original, and it's the "original amd usb controller driver" when i go to run it, it gives me that message.

the second screenshot is the diagnostic, and its the "hp vision hardware diagnostic offline edition", and i went to plug in my usb drive, and i typed what my usb drive is called and i pressed enter and im not sure if it worked or not but when i pressed enter that black box went away.

Hi:

What is the product number or full model number of your PC?

I can't find any PC that starts with Touchsmart 230.  320 yes, 230 no.

The product number can be found on the same label as the serial number.

Please do not post the serial number.

I would forget the hp vision hardware diagnostic offline edition software.  It is not required for your PC to work every day.

If you want a diagnostics program use the better and newer HP 4 in 1 key.

You can get it at the link below, bottom center of the page.

Once you let me know the product number of the PC you have, I will get you the driver you need for the USB ports.

Hi:

The specs for your model indicate that it does not come with any USB 3 ports.

That driver is for models that come with USB 3 ports which is why you got that message in your first screenshot.

Take a look at your device manager.

Are there any devices listed there with a little ! mark next to them?

If not, then all of the drivers for your PC have been installed.

If there are any devices showing up there with ! marks next to them, please post the hardware ID's for those devices, so I can figure out what drivers they need.

Use this guide for how to find that information.

nope, when i first restored my pc it had those little "!" but after i installed the drivers they went away. i was just curious if the two drivers if i needed them or not, because i am noticing a little bit lag while my pc openings up documents or opening up a program or even typing its slower than before.

Everything looks good to me.

How about the graphics adapter?

Under the display adapters device manager category, is the AMD graphics adaper listed there?

If there is a standard VGA Adapter listed there, you need to install the graphics driver.

As far as the PC running slower than you are used t, see if installing the latest AMD chipset driver from AMD helps.

Select the W10/W7 64 bit chipset driver from the list (first one), install and restart the PC.

You're very welcome.

Did that updated AMD chipset driver get rid of the lagging?
