Hi @Dheeraj1405

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I'm sorry you're facing this issue, especially with a brand-new laptop. The warnings from the short and long DST (Drive Self-Test) checks, along with the "Boot Device Not Found" and "Hard Disk 3F0" error, indicate a potential problem with the hard drive or SSD.

Here's what you can do:

Step 1: Verify Connections

  1. If you're comfortable opening the laptop, ensure the SSD or hard drive is securely connected to the motherboard.
  2. If you're unsure, skip this step and proceed to the next.

Step 2: Perform a Hard Reset

  1. Turn off the laptop and disconnect all external devices.
  2. Unplug the charger and, if possible, remove the battery.
  3. Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds to discharge residual power.
  4. Reconnect the battery and charger, then turn on the laptop.

Step 3: Run HP Diagnostics

  1. Restart the laptop and press Esc repeatedly during startup.
  2. Select System Diagnostics from the menu.
  3. Run the Hard Drive Test again to confirm the issue.

Step 4: Attempt BIOS Recovery

  1. Restart the laptop and press F10 repeatedly to enter the BIOS.
  2. Check if the hard drive or SSD is detected under Storage Options.
  3. If detected, reset the BIOS to default settings:
    • Navigate to the Exit tab and select Load Setup Defaults.
    • Save changes and exit.

If this solution hits the spot, please come back and click "Accepted Solution" to help others find the answer. And if you'd like to say thanks, select "Yes" on the bottom left of the public post, as that would make our day! 😊

Take care, and have an amazing day!
