I have an HP Omen with an HP 2B4B motherboard running windows 10. I want to upgrade to windows 11. I see i can buy a  windows 11 compatable 10th generation Intel i9 but how can i be sure it will fit my socket and work with my pc

Below is the link to the motherboard specs for your PC which has the list of supported processors.

There are no W11 supported processors or motherboards you can install in your PC.

 

You can upgrade from W10>W11 on your PC as is, but you would have to use a workaround that bypasses the W11 hardware checks to do so.

 

If you are interested in doing that, watch is video which is probably the easiest way to do an in-place upgrade from W10>W11 on unsupported hardware.

 

How to Install Windows 11 25H2 on Unsupported PCs (New Easiest Method)

 

W11 25H2 runs just fine on my Dell Optiplex 7050 MT which has the i7-7700 processor.
