@Pithious, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To find out how old your HP desktop computer is, you can follow these steps:

Option 1: Check the BIOS Version Date

  1. Press Windows + R, type msinfo32, and hit Enter.
  2. In the System Information window, look for BIOS Version/Date.
  3. The date listed here gives a good estimate of when the system was manufactured or first released.

Note: This may not be the exact purchase date, but it’s a reliable indicator of the system’s age.

Option 2: Use HP Support Website

You can use HP’s support tools to get more detailed info:

  1. Visit: Official HP® Support
  2. Enter your serial number or let HP auto-detect your device.
  3. Once your product is identified, check the warranty status and product launch date.

You can usually find the serial number on a sticker on the back or bottom of your desktop.

Option 3: Check the Original Packaging or Invoice

If you still have the box or receipt, the purchase date or model release year might be printed there.

Option 4: HP Command Center or HP Support Assistant

If installed:

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
