Hi @victorfodor20,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To activate TPM 2.0 on your HP computer running Windows 10, you'll typically need to follow these steps.

Access BIOS/UEFI Settings:

  • Restart your computer and enter the BIOS/UEFI settings. This is usually done by pressing a specific key during the startup process. Common keys are F2, F10, Esc, or Del. The exact key depends on your computer model, so watch for on-screen instructions during startup.

Locate TPM Settings:

  • Once in the BIOS/UEFI settings, navigate to the section related to security or advanced settings. Look for options related to TPM (Trusted Platform Module) or security features.

Enable TPM:

  • Find the option to enable TPM. It might be labeled as "TPM Device" or "Trusted Computing," and you may have options for TPM versions (like TPM 1.2 or TPM 2.0). Select TPM 2.0.

Save and Exit:

  • After enabling TPM 2.0, save your changes and exit the BIOS/UEFI settings. This action usually requires pressing a key (often F10) to save changes and restart your computer.

Check TPM Status in Windows:

  • After your computer restarts, log in to Windows 10.
  • Press Win + R, type tpm.msc, and press Enter to open the TPM Management console.
  • Check if TPM is now enabled and operational. It should show as "TPM ready for use."

Update TPM Firmware (if needed):

  • Sometimes, updating the BIOS/UEFI firmware can also update the TPM firmware and resolve any issues with TPM readiness.

Verify Windows Requirements:

  • Ensure your Windows 10 version supports TPM 2.0. Windows 10 versions 1507 and 1511 do not support TPM 2.0 for Device Health Attestation (DHA). You may need to update to a newer version like Windows 10 version 1607 (Anniversary Update) or later.

By following these steps, you should be able to activate TPM 2.0 on your HP computer running Windows 10.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
