Hi,
On the Mboard, there is a small white push button near the cmos battery, what i have to correctly change the battery.
I didn't find any information on HP support (the guide for my computer doesn't tell nothing more than change the battery)or on "youtube" about that button? Nobody seems to use it in explanations.
I'"m afraid that change the battery doesn't enough, then the computer doesn't start correctly after.
I hope someone understand my misunderstanding?
Thanks

That button is used to reset the BIOS in case the system does not boot up following hardware change.
The battery needs to be replaced if the date / time keeps going back to 2010 or the date the computer was manufactured.
I have had to replace battery sockets that were damaged by improper removal of the battery.

I think my battery is end of life; at boot up the among of memory is not recognize and the date and time too, that all ; I didn't change nothing on hardware.
So, if I understand you, I don't need to use this button? Am I right?
Sorry English is not my first language, and I 'm always afraid to make a mistake, because of misunderstanding, even if I use a translator as deepl.com
Otherwise if you now more, it could be useful for me: what type of material change are we talking about? And in what order do we press this button. I hope I'm not abusing.
Thanks very much
