Pavilion HPE 180t
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The machine has five  covers on the back for expansion cards. Two of them slide out and three seem to be solid.  I need to open the back cover to insert a PCi express  USB 3.0 card, but it doesn't seem to be removable.  Is there a trick to open this cover?

The slot I want to open is shown with a red arrow.

Hey there! @jo-ro, Thanks for stopping by the HP Support Forums!

I understand you need to know how to remove the bracket cover for add on cards on your PC.

Don't worry I''ll try to help you out.

I have checked the specifications of your PC. And you can try the steps recommended below to remove the bracket cover.

On the back of the computer, remove the screw from
the bracket cover for the add-in cards. If it is present,
also remove the additional screw that secures a large
graphics card.

Lift off the bracket cover.

Refer the desktop user guide to know more information.

Note: Refer page 4 for information.

Hope this answers your query!

I hope you have a great day! 🙂
