HP Pavilion Desktop PC TP01-2000a (2Z6C9AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I have a new HP Pavilion Desktop.  It came with a wireless keyboard and mouse.

They work ok, but way to sensitive.  My old hands are accustomed to the old mechanical keyboards and my fingers could lay on the keys somewhat.  So, I want to get a different keyboard with the old touch and feel.

option 1.  Suppose I find a wireless keyboard with the old touch and feel.  What would be the process to replace the keyboard and mouse.  For example, with computer on or off or what are the steps.

option 2.  If I can not find a new wireless keyboard that I like,  what would be the process to connect my old wired keyboard.

For example, leave the dongle in, plug in the old keyboard and stuff the wireless keyboard in the closet.  Do I need to 'forget' it on the desktop?

Feel free to suggest a solution or product you are familiar with that would work well for me.

Also, feel free to tell me this is a bad idea and I need to have the functions of the new keyboard.

I can play the button accordion so perhaps I can play this new keyboard also with enough time.

Please look at the old model/product of the old keyboard and mouse and buy a same set. The set should work on new computer.

Regards.
